Hsien's post wasn't quite clear...
Last year's panel got put right after the main AMV contest showing- and opposite the first concert by the big J-Pop group that was there (I, of course, have completely forgotten who they were), so there wasn't the greatest turnout at the panel. There were approximately as many people at the table up front 'on' the panel as in the audience. Basically, VicBond007 & Iserlohn tried to run the panel while everyone else drank and heckled. I think, in general, those of us who were there learned more about Strongbad Email than about AMVs, on the whole. (well, OK- that's what I learned about)
On the upside, it did very firmly demonstrate why having a massive group of people trying to run a panel is a bad idea, which helped greatly in planning the Anime Boston AMV panel. And to at least make sure the people on the panel weren't too drunk to stand.

This wasn't that hard a task, considering that Kai and Tom are both responsible, Greg was underage IIRC, I was *definately* underage, and all Lyndsey was suffering from was nicotine withdrawl...Ashyukun wrote:On the upside, it did very firmly demonstrate why having a massive group of people trying to run a panel is a bad idea, which helped greatly in planning the Anime Boston AMV panel.
