ACEN AMV luncheon

Hello all...

Well, Acen is coming up quick here and it would be nice if we could somehow bring together many of the AMV editors that'll be at Acen. I don't have any ideas as to when or where, but I just wanted to give out the idea so people could post and see if anybody is interested in doing this. I'm thinking it would be cool to have lunch after the AMV contest on Saturday. Anyways, I hope people will respond to this and that there'll be a good turnout.

I'm in- it sounds good to me. I'm definitely looking forward to meeting everyone else who'll be there, as many of you weren't at the last few cons I've been to

I might be dragging a few non-AMVer friends from school around with me as well though, hope a few extra people (who may well be

at meeting some of the editors) won't be a problem...

From what I know we will be doing judging immediately following the contest at noon. I assume it'll take less than an hour so my *guess* is we could have lunch around 1 p.m. I was going to get more confirmation from Michelle on times and whatnot.

I will be at ACEN myself and praying to god that ACEN got the right encode of the video to use for the competition.

But yeah it would be neat for a few people to get together and discuss videos and crap in general. Greatest thng about the conventions is so many truly interesting people come every year. Only thing is hoping I won't be needed on gopher duty right then and there.

But yeah, if this works I will probably be the only one dressed as Reiji Kageyama from Gatekeepers. Dark blonde/light brown hair huge round black sunglasses, red tie and a dark jacket with an embroidered eye type logo on the left side.

Interesting how so many who actually aren't going to be there have replied...

At any rate:

FYI on Friday evening. Lots of AMV stuff so I don't think it could be done as a Fri dinner. Panel Starts at 5:15pm and after that is AMV judging screening.

I'm not certain yet when I'd be available for something like this. Saturday is probably best bet (as previously suggested) for most folks I'd guess. But don't factor me in this. With such a low reponse so far it might be best to just arrange it at con. Plus there's always the issue of where to go and the arrangement of transpo.
