Great, so you've got no problem with attending a gathering of amv creators then. Cause this is what this thread is about, not a gathering of more well known amv creators that make people cream their pants.
Care to explain why 80% of the names on the left are big names, then? Other than me bitching about everybody else? ;)

This is not a coincidence. And that's okay. There's another thread for the plebes.

Why aren't you proud of your work, guys? Geez. You act like there's something WRONG with making good videos.

Oh that's cause the "big name" as they have been doubed, are usually yhe ones that check the boards heavely, and everyone prettymuch knows how to get in contact with everyone else. Hell, even I know most of the people in this topic somehow.

Plus the veterans know to look out for this topic around this time of the year. It's an annual thing.

Honestly I don't see how you're defining a big name creator, unless it's "amv creators who aren't SarahtheBoring". I suppose you could be refering to people who are outgoing enough to attempt to meet a bunch of online personalities in person at Otakon. But in that case, it's easy enough for you to show up and develop such a personality.

Who said anything about lack of pride? I'm very proud of my Otakon submission this year. It's probably the most unoriginal, cliched, gaudy anime music video that I've ever seen. Personally, I'd like to think that I did a very good job making a terrible music video.

I'm in the same boat as HackerZC working at thursday prereg, but if something's going on afterwards, I wouldn't mind at least stopping by or something. Just pick a time and I'll try to be there. If it's on one of the con days I'll be cosplaying as Legato from Trigun, but if it's on thurday, look for the idiot with blue hair and long bangs. ^_^

I suppose I can't complain about that. Better the 8D than any of GE's or Roll's engines (in case you can't tell or don't remember, I worked at Pratt before transferring divisions- and ironically did a fair bit of analysis on the 8D during my time there...).

You mean you can't just turn the laptop over and cook it on that? I swear, one of these days I'm buying some teflon-coated aluminum foil (know it exists, we used it in the lab back at school) and seeing if really can cook an egg on my wife's Powerbook. I bet I can.

I think if we're meeting up after pre-reg on Thursday, we should probably plan on a) meeting near where pre-reg is happening and b) not plan on leaving until at least 10:30pm, assuming they finish up exactly then, because you know some of us will still be in line. I'll be coming in to work for a half day before heading down to Baltimore, so I should be there in enough time to be there when pre-reg opens (and hopefully in time to get a decent place in line). And hopefully early enough to get through the lines in time to pick dwchang up at the airport if necessary.
