Here, beat the line.

I'm only being a smartass because you keep opening yourself up to it. You really need to get a more positive image of yourself and take pride in everything you do because YOU KNOW IT'S THE BEST YOU CAN DO. There are no big names, only big videos, and just because you may or may not have something on the top 10%, that doesn't determain your "celebrity status" because there is none to begin with. We make good vids, we make bad vids. We're all AMV creators, so let's get back on topic and get organizing a get-together for EVERYONE we can possibly accomidate! :)

He isn't a big-name creator. Did you see his latest video? It sucked more wind than a Pratt & Whitney JT8D. Totally screwed up every rule in the book.
I know. Can you imagine the disapointment when I found the book with the rules in it, and found out that I had broken them all? It was absolutely horrifying! Though to make my failure complete, I even missed one. Though this can be rectified, I just need to find some utterly pervese distribution method. Worse than rm, worse than vivo. I'm thinking aalib encoded highly compressed text!

To Sarah: I expect to see you at one of the gatherings. And to talk to people. Even if nobody else is female. You really will find that most of us are nice people (well, I'm not, especially when unfed) and get along well when together IRL no matter how much we may bash each other online.

To everyone else: There is one time that we've overlooked, and it's the one that almost nobody will WANT to do, but WILL work out the best: Friday, 8 or 9 AM for breakfast. Yes, people will be wanting to party on Thursday night. Yes, people will be hung over and groggy. Yes, people will want to get their damn badges. HOWEVER, it sounds like most of the people interested in a gathering are coming in on Thursday night anyways, so they'll have their badges already. Additionally, nothing should be starting before 10AM (Video Rooms) or noon (Panels) anyways, and by waiting a couple hours, those who haven't gotten their prereg can avoid standing in line and bypass the glut.

Looking at Otaku Chow, there's a handful of places near the BCC that are open for (and serve) breakfast, so it is an option. Also, there's a place listed called "Crazy Greek" ($5-10) with Breakfast, Subs, Sandwiches, and Pizza on Howard St. between Fayette and Baltimore that's open 24/7 which could be an option for a late meeting. There's also a diner (Silver Moon) on Baltimore at Front St. between President and S. Central which is open early. The cost is a bit high (10-15), but it's more likely to be a sit down place than the Crazy Greek with something more resembling real food.

Anyhow, it's 1:15AM and I need to be up for work in 6 hours. Discuss.

OK, I'm still trying to figure out exactly where you decided to use the 8D for that line, trythil. Besides, if you want to talk volume of air suckage on Pratt engines, look at the 112" PW4000....

You make AMVs, therefore, you're one of us, so sit yourself down at our table, grab a bite to eat, start up some conversation and realize that we elitest pricks are just as human as you are, and tend to frequently act sub-human while under the influence. Besides, it's fun to hang out with new blood!
No no NO!!!
Don't be giving me that shit that "oh they say they are nobody to get attention". I say it because 1) it's true, and 2) I want people to leave me the hell alone. If I want attention, I will come flat out and say "GIVE ME ATTENTION!".

So please, don't judge me on the behavior of others. I am one of the most off the wall people you will ever kinow becuase I actually tell the truth 100% of the time, and if I want something I will say it. Screw being PC, and trying not to hurt peoples fealing. I say what I think, how I think it. And if people don't like it, that's fine. There is nothing that says they have to.

So it looks like after getting badges on Thursday is when we'll all meet (reading over some of the replies)? I am currently looking at flights and need to know ASAP. Also when do they start letting you pick-up badges? It looks like I can be in around ~8:30...hopefully you guys wil either be in line or the line will be short and we can all meet.

Badge pickup starts at 7PM. I plan to be there as early as possible and hopefully the line won't be bad. Probably will be though, and I'll be starving, so I'll probably snag a bite on the way there, unless anyone knows of a USB microwave...

/me wonders if Ashyukun can pick up my badge without hassle? I picked-up my friends badges at ACen...hmmm....

Reason being...I can't get in earlier than ~8:30 based on the flights and the fact I will need to come into work in the morning?

Thoughts Bob?

You're gonna be SOL. According to staff on the Otakon BBS (http://www.otakon.com/board), a photo ID is necessary and it must have the name of the person on the ID that is on the files for prereg. If you're getting in as late as you are (assume 30 min. to get your luggage and another 20 get a ride to drop things off at the hotel), you're going to be showing up just in time to be told to come back in the morning. Better to come to the gathering and then get up way early Friday to claim.
