Cool......we just need to figure out a place to get fish....shouldn't be too hard....i got the other sushi stuff like the roller and will bring vinegar and that stuff. So all to ask now is, whose room is the sushi party, and what night. Also if i can get the idea of who is bringing samplers of their work and who wants to trade, that way i know how many CD's to make.

Free pocky perhaps........it would work for me!Waldo wrote:If the party is dry then something else will have to be wet in order to balance things out. OH SO MUCH TO DO!!!
Well then you will have a lot of other people to talk to becaus ethere is also going to be some sort of Art festivle DownTown durring Otakon )I live here so I get the info before all yall).MistyCaldwell wrote:Alrighty....
II'll be in the town Friday but I was planning on doing the tourist thing Friday and actually go to the con Saturday.
Anyway I know wht you mean about finding the time to do everything. Compared to previous years I have my plate SO full I need 2 more of me to do it all. Here is a small list (off the top of my head) of things I am doing.
-AMV contest (I entered, did not make cut though. And went to all but one pre-screening so I think I should go do this)
- Costume contest (Saturday contest, and since I am a part of Cosplay [fassion walk thing] that kills two birds with one stone)
-LARP (Playing Goku, this will take up a lot of time, cause I actually want to find out what is going on. This years "topic" is named "The Shadow Over Baltimore")
-Otakudom (We all have copies, but there is nothing like watching it with a crowed, right Scott?)
-AMV Pannel (I told certain people I would try to come, so I am).
-Over Flow AMV's (try to see mine play, get some reactions)
-Thursday or Fridays AMV party (whenever, wherever)
-Possible visite the rave (bought 5 15" red [8 hour lasting] glow sticks, and a box of 50 assorted 8" glow stick braclets, all totaling $65, and I want to use them!)
-Group Photos (LARP pic, Otakon Club pic)
-Sleep (I need to sleep sometime, even if for only 1 hr a night)
That's just what I can think of off the top of my head. There is more stuff I can't remember right now (I should make a list). And to thing, I was asked to be staff this year! Had to say no though, just not enought time.
Oh yeah, FOOD. Gata eat (though I am sure I could go without a few meals)
But that's ok cause I and a friend ran down to D.C. the other day and went in the Air & Space thing and bought some Astronaut food, lol.

My stuff
I don't know...........I'm kinda new and I feal my stuff (so far) sucks since I have not really learned to do anything. I have no problems with converting my amvs (2 so far) into a better format (right now they are uncompressed MPEG-1's, each is like 250MB and I have a hard time playing them on my crappy 450P3). I would be glad to give out my stuff, but I dont think anyone would want it. I mean, I'm new and all, and no one knows who I am.Scott A Melzer wrote: And don't forget to bring tins of CDs and tapes of your work to give away!!!
What do you think I should do?
Oh yeah, if you want to kill a few seconds go here http://westware.8m.com/bwi.html and watch the movie.
This is what I do in my free time, lol. I won't give away what is there (u will have to watch it), but lets just say, if I sent this movie to the FAA, I would freak them out!

Excel Saga has 27 episodes? Wow. I guess since episode 26 I was afraid of the whole thing I wasn't keeping up ^^;.
Hey get this. Me and a buddy were walking around downtown (baltimore, I live here) earlyer this year when it was still cold out, so we were over by the BCC. I wanted to do down the elevator on the skywalk (I'm lazy) so I pushed the button. The doors opened and there were these black bags on the floor of the thing so we just walked away thinking someone was dumping trash bags in it. As we walked away I started thinking. Wait a second, those elevators are heated I said. I turned to my friend and said, I bet those were homeless people. My friend was all like, no way, it's just trash. So we went back and looked again. One of the bags moved! There were sleeping bums!
I decide to have a little fun, so I ran to the botom of the steps and pushed the button for the thing to go down to ground level, then ran back up the steps. Me and my friend were laughing our asses off!
All of a sudden the thing starts moving back up, AND WE DID NOT TOUCH THE BUTTON! We ran like hell!!! Ok now I'm a big guy, and I'm pretty slow, but that night I think I broke a record for the 50 yard dash. Anyway we ran behind the BCC. I peaked around the corner and standing over by the elevator was some guy looking in out direction. We kept walking away from the Elevator and behind the Bcc towards the ball park. All the time we were talking about what just happened, very loudly I might add. Then all of a sudden we look over to the right and what do we see? like 20 bums all sleeping under this auning thing aroung the back side of the BCC. All of a suden we both shut up and walk REALLY quietly by them. once we got buy we started running like hell and laughing our asses off again. When we finally stoped we were pretty much on howard street. Anyway me and my friend were talking about what happened so I decided to have some fun with him, telling him stuff like "It's good we did not wake them up, they could have killed us!" all serious like. Man did he freak, his face turned white and he starting saying shit like "We need to go home....NOW!" all serious. Man did I get to him. lol. That was a fun night.

Well I will be eazy to spot at the con. I will be dressed as Kazuki Fuse from Jin-Roh in the Panzer Armor. I'll also have a FBG (MG-42) and might possible be the one you see the Baltimore police arresting for carrying said (fake) gun. ^_^MistyCaldwell wrote:Unless Phade says no...he may not even browse this forum....I'm going to use a badge I am making with the logo and my avatar. I already started so I didn't know about a pre-made one.
That's a good idea to process everything mckeed. I'll send my email too.

Actually, how about in the future we could get REAL badges made for ourselves. checkout www.galls.com my firestation orders a lot of out stuff from here. You can get badges made to say basicly anything you want. The only problem is deciding on one style, and everyone would be responsible for buying it yourself.Phade wrote:Hey MistyCaldwell,

replyin' on hackerzc's message about the baltimore hobos...
speaking of elevators...here's my short story...
at Katsucon two years ago, the three of us were hungry and didn't want to run across the highway to Mcdonalds. So someone told us there was a restaurant on the top floor. Well some fellow anime-ers were in the elevator with us, but they were going to their hotel rooms. They asked us where we were going and we said to the top floor. They called us the elevator refugees and poked fun while we sat on the floor waiting for it to reach the top floor. When they got out, (we were about halfway there,) they were laughing, and it was kinda sad, as they pushed all the buttons, so it stopped on every floor. Just imagine...*ding* -open...close- *ding* -open...close-. . .
It was a long time, we got there only to find this really expensive restaurant. Oh well...it wasn't too long on the way down.
Instead of a hotel room, u can probably live in the elevators...^^;
(although no one would actually want to...)
