I wouldn't do it anywhere else, but I've had girls do it to me and I don't take offense to it because it is a convention and your suppost to have fun. But if it was anywhere else I would be freaked out.

A sign I wore was an anti-glomp sign, in hopes of insulting the people who actually wore "glomp me" signs. Those were my intentions anyway. It read, "Don't Even Touch Me!", but I think only two people actually got the joke. Everyone else looked at me like I was some anti-social wuss, or just poked me. And the stupid thing was only one person actually wore a "glomp me" sign (this was at the last Anime Iowa, by the way). Maybe next year I'll wear a sign that makes more sense, or start going to more cons where people will get the joke.

This is to all the male cosplayers. I just found out from anime usa that you aren't suppost to have any signs with you saying to hug you or glomp you because the males aren't allowed to intiate the contact with the female. The female would have to intiate it first.

Who's wearing the signs? The guys or the girls? If it's the girls, then clearly wearing a "glomp me" sign is initiation (or at least invitation). If the guys are wearing the sign....then that's just silly. I mean grabbing asses is one thing, but I can't see anything wrong with people wearing hugging or glomping signs (either sex).

Another thing is if you are playing a perveted character as Gene or Miruko (spelling) you aren't suppost to be acting perveted by touching other female rear ends.
