I will show you over 50.000 Anime cosplayers just from this 2 cosplay site www.cosplay.com and www.acparadise.com that most of them are not ASIAN. I mean when ASIANS cosplaying into their Anime, it is normal since it is their own Anime but not for the non ASIAN Anime cosplayers.

Weeaboo, your not asian, your either asian american or some kind of mongrel some stuff like that. plus last weekend at megacon there where a shit load of cartoon/comic cosplayers, and plus anime is japanese, but that dosent mean american audiences dont relate to the charicters just the same. hell the japanese are so ashamed of themselves they based all the charicters in anime off of white skin color and in that respect american cosplayers look more like the actual charicter. hell when i was a little kid I thought sailor moon was an american show. plus start looking for the forrest honey

Right, that's what that is

. It doesn't have anything to do with subjectivity, or perspective, or Americans assuming that if an animated character is Asian they should have slanty eyes. Because, you know, that's obviously how the Japanese view themselves.

The most possible reason is they want to be like the Anime character they cosplaying into. Still I want to hear it directly from the Anime cosplayer in this forum.
