TAKII + Rusika = USA East Coast Debut Of J-Rocker @ TAKII 4!
May 27th, 2007 -- Upper Darby, PA -- As someone wise once said, "You only get 1 chance to make a 1st impression". TAKII Coordinators are proud to announce the fusion festival's very 1st bona-fide professional J-Rocker to ever appear & perform, Natsuo Kimura (aka Natz), lead singer/guitarist from the J-Rock fusion group known as Rusika!

A Japanese post-alternative band from Los Angeles, California that was formed in December 2006 when Natz (aka Natsuo Kimura, lead vocals/guitar), Ilan (bass guitar), & Koji (drums) were looking for the best band members to establish a growing interest of Japanese music in America in their own stylistic way. Just as TAKII & Rusika were brought together by the shared mission of taking Asian Music to another level of extreme, Natz & his fellow bandmates heard the same calling.
Natz was a solo musician after he came in the USA more than 4 years ago. He met Ilan this past year while hosting his event, J-Rock Night. Because the original bass player had to cancel, Natz asked Ilan to play bass guitar for his band called LUPPY just one hour before the show started. After the show, the 2 musicians noticed that they shared similar tastes in Japanese music & styles, so they decided to create a new band. A few weeks later, Ilan introduced Kozi to Natz & the group known as Rusika was born!
Rusika's music is to be considered Japanese Pop/Rock, while experimenting with a variety of their combined lifetime's music-related influences. The band members have been influenced by bands like Mr. Children, Luna Sea, Bump Of Chicken, L'Arc En Ciel, & Spitz. While planning to tour America & Japan this year, Rusika's lead singer will be traveling to USA's East Coast for the 1st time ever in his (or the group's) history just for TAKII 4 & will not only be a guest judge for TAKII 4's Asian Karaoke Idol Show, but will be performing for all TAKII faithful live!

Natz personally requested that he perform for us this summer, so let's show him some of that extreme TAKII adoration & make sure not to miss what is sure to become a bomobastic J-Rock experience.

June 10th, 2007 -- Upper Darby, PA -- {{INTROSPECTIVE}} TAKII is now well into its 2nd year & 4th season of what we have all come to know & love (or stare at in perplexity ^-^) as a trailblazing fusion festival, taking Asian Music & video gaming to euphoric extremes. As such, people continue to email, post, or talk to us in person about what they liked before & what they look forward to seeing the most at this season's TAKII 4 ~Rhythm D-Generation X-Treme~. While TAKII Coordinators work year-round on tweaking the TAKII formula, it can be challenging at times (not having everything you would like to have exactly when it is you want it).

Unbeknownst to us, the TAKII 4 "fever" spread to a particular corporate sponsor who have been watching us grow & wanted to know how they could help us help you, the TAKII faithful, to have an even more memoriable TAKII experience. Rent-A-Center, a leader in the renting & purchase of merchandise at affordable prices, contacted TAKII Coordinators in early June 2007 to let us know of their shared desire to bring hardcore awareness of Asian culture to the community at-large, with a touch of TAKII flare (^_*).
"I heard about TAKII 4 from a fraternity brother of mine & just had to check you guys out," remarks a store manager from a Rent-A-Center retail center in Pennsylvania. "I, myself, am a gamer at heart & jumped at the chance to track what TAKII was all about & how Rent-A-Center could transcend into the support of cultural awareness in such a uniquely intense way as TAKII 4. While corporate sponsorships are not rare, reaching out to your fans like you do (as Rent-A-Center does in its own charity offerings) IS."
Starting with TAKII 4 (& continuing well into future seasons of TAKII), Rent-A-Center will be providing a multitude of flat-screen, HD-ready, plasma & LCD TVs to TAKII's "TLO Video Lounge" & "Viideo Game Free Play & Tourneys", as well as other nifty electronic delectables that will serve to enhance the experience of all TAKII-goers this summer. Please be aware that all pre-reg deadlines are now CLOSED. If you still want to compete in any of our 4 championship-level competition types, then you will have to register at the door. (AMV Battle Royale submissions are being taken until JULY 28th, 2007.)
2. INTERACTION ADDITIONS -- TAKII now has official presences on Last.fm, as well as LiveJournal, Cosspace, & Yahoo! Groups. These, along with the other opportunities you have to join a TAKII community near you. are FREE & a perfect way to spend time with TAKII faithful online.
3. MAIN EVENT PRESS COVERAGE -- The Philadelphia Metro & Philadelphia Weekly (2 highly-circulated newspapers) wanted us to let everyone know that within the next 2 weeks, TAKII 4 will be fully featured in both pieces of print media! Make sure to get your copy of history & file it away in your scrapbooks, cause we sure will ^_^.
