I'm still going to wait till May or June to start really looking though. Sometimes you get lucky on cancelations and such..course all I need is a one bed hotel room anyway

The good thing about the second hotel is you get a suite instead of just a room for the same price. So you can either get more space or cram in more friends.
It is away from the con but only a 5 minute walk, if that. Some people will like the escape but others will miss being in the middle of everything.
The bad thing about the second hotel is it has non-con goers staying there and last year I remember the hotel was quite strict with noise issues. Literally a few rounds of DDR after hours was enough to get phone calls and personal visits from the staff. The Waverly, on the other hand, is 99.9% AWA so normal noctural con events are more tolerated (assuming your neighbors haven't already come over to play DDR too).
Personally I like being at the Waverly because I'm lazy and it doesn't require a walk when I'm not awake late at night nor a walk when I'm not awake in the morning. Plus the Waverly is just cooler and it isn't often I can stay at a 4 star hotel. I'm just hoping jbone's post isn't an indication that we got a one bed room

It seemed like more than a 5 minute walk to me. Although we took the bridge going over the road the first time. It was much faster crossing the road on the way back, but I can't imagine it'd be easy to cross during the daytime when there's actual traffic.Red Wolf wrote:The good thing about the second hotel is you get a suite instead of just a room for the same price. Sounds good and all but Waffle House doesn’t serve booze, and watching you and Danny get lit was simply hysterical.Hitori wrote:That could work! And not too expensive either!!Red Wolf wrote:Maybe that should be the theme of the next AMV "dinner."Mr Pilkington wrote:It's been said time and again but...
You haven’t lived until you have eaten in a Georgia waffle house at 3 in the morning.
You know the appatini (sp?) temps you. Give yourself to the darkside!
