Re: MomoCon 2026: Events & Editor Social
Hey Everyone!
I'll be hosting two panels this year, and I need your help with one of them!!
We know greatness comes with perseverance, and AMV editing is no different! This year, I want to inspire new and struggling AMV editors by showcasing how some amazing established AMV creators have grown and sharpened their skills over time with a panel called, "AMVs in Retrospect: Let's See How Far We've Come"! I'm looking for six or seven editors who have grown from rags to riches! (Well, maybe not "riches", but at least a lot less raggedy.
)
The format of the panel is simple: I will introduce you as an editor to the panel. You then describe how you got into AMV creation and showcase one of your early videos. Once that video is done playing, you then share the story of how you enhanced your skills over time while giving advice and encouragement to new/struggling editors in the audience. We cap off your segment by showcasing one of your shiny new and improved vids! I then thank you and introduce the next editor for their inspirational tale!! Basically, each editor will have about 3-5 mins of talk time plus the two videos to showcase.
If you want to help inspire new and upcoming editors, the signup sheet is here!! You never know, you might even inspire me to make one of the ideas I've had in my head for the last 20 years!!
Thanks again for being awesome!!
