Techwood Con - Atlanta AMV Creators Wanted for Panel

Post by Onegai » Fri Jan 23, 2004 2:29 am

Techwood Con (strange name, good con) is a one day convention opening this year on April 10th. It's being run on a shoestring, because the location won't actually allow the charging of admission. (We've reserved the Georgia Tech Student center). This is its first year, but it will likely move out to a hotel next year, pending a decent turnout.

There won't be an AMV contest, but we're putting together an AMV Panel and are definitely looking for additional video art programming. This is a great opportunity to get some experience with participating in the operation of a convention and/or video art tracks.

If you live in Atlanta... or are willing to make the trip from wherever, and are interested in participating, either on the panel or by providing programming, drop me an e-mail or a message.

For the non-AMV creation inclined, there will of course be many other events, but the website isn't up yet, so there's no real contact information for the other programmers and con staff. Nonetheless, if you have non-AMV related questions, I may be able to pass them along to the proper people.
