are there any good anime conventions coming up?

i want to go to one where we can dress up as a favorite carahter(sp?) from any anime because i dont want to dress up like haruko and go to a slayers convention (if there are any never went to a convention of any kind before.) please tell me :?: :!:

For now it is pretty slim pickings with conventions for a couple months as nobody wants to run along the holidays.

Next couple major cons to really look at is Ohayocon in Ohio in late Jan. and then most likely for you based on your location... there is Katsucon in Virginia which is coming up in Feb.
