Anime St. Louis - April 20-22

Since Kunicon St. Louis was only once because Kunicon was a big failure, face it... St. Louis now apparently has a con, which was 1 day last year, is 3 days this year. It's a 2 cons for the price of one deal. One admission gets you Anime St. Louis AND Show-Me Con!

There's no AMV contest, but talk of one on the forums, maybe next year? I hope so.

And of course, in August, the biggest con in St. Louis, Archon, is coming.

The hotel TRIPLE BOOKED the weekend!

THE FOOLS!

Tomorrow all the rabid anime fans get to scare off a Barmitsva and a wedding.

BTW, I am seeing an awful lot of the signs that were so quickly banned from ACEN. Is this just something that people do all the time? I never saw the point of "WILL YAOI FOR POCKY" and such, especially since the sign was being held by a girl who is probably a lot too young for me to look at the wrong way without going to jail. And the worst part is... she's a girl... how is that yaoi? Oh, she's cosplaying as Sora from Kingdom Hearts.

I wanted to tell her "Hey, be daring and do some yuri and I'll give you a Ramune."

I'm sure she'd decline.

It was fun to scare the people at the wedding ( we even got a picture with one of the brides maids

) but then they got bitchy and made it to where you couldn't wear masks ( Which sucked for our Conti! )

Plus they shut down some of the programs! But by the end of the day I was still happy!

It was kind of ridiculous how the hotel staff treated us, though scaring the wedding party was hilarious.

I kinda figured there was a AnimeSTL thread but I just wanted to make sure. The triple booking was a MAJOR let down, I hadn't heard about the no masks rule until a cosplayer on my floor said somthing. For gosh sakes! It's an anime convention.

Also the hotel was to freaking small for our con. There was a ton of people, yet, I saw the same people over and over again......lol. But I missed Piano Squall's concert...that made me mad and I didn't get to meet Vic!

I didn't cosplay either but, this coming up year, I am.

Edit: Bleh, I couldn't go to AWA even if I wanted to, it's in September....if it was in the summer I could go..... I might go to ACen next year along with animeSTL.
