ROUND THREE
Hey look

Speaking of this round's theme... For those of you who watched episode 3 of the video series, you already know what this is, but nevertheless, I will cover it here.
All of the songs in round 3 of the tournament come from already well known AMV's.
We did this in the previous tournament in round 3 and it ended up being a lot of fun, so I wanted to bring it back again. It's always interesting to see how other people approach a song that already has an established video associated with it. Will they be able to get the image of the original video out of their head when making editing decisions? Or do they decide to do homage to the original somehow? It's completely up to the editors.
Anticipated Questions:
Q: What happens if the anime I pick is the same anime used in the original video?
Then, it is :O You'll have to deal with it.
Q: What kind of hints will we get this time around (like how we got to know the genre in round 1 and original artist of the song being covered in round 2)?
The only hint I will give is that I'm not including any songs I used in the previous tournament's round 3. Other than that, NO HINTS! From this point on in the tournament, nobody will be getting hints about their song. So no, you can't know who made the video the song is from, or what genre it is or whatever. :O
Q: As of today (June 7th, 2011), round 2 isn't officially complete and the brackets aren't full... does that mean I can't schedule my match?
As of this writing, all but 1 of the matches has been completed (2 are waiting to be judged). So rather than delay the tournament even longer, I figured I'd go ahead and post up the thread now and let people who know their opponents get their matches scheduled so we can keep the ball rolling.
Well guys, go ahead and figure out when you want to do your matches. The majority of the matches in round 2 (especially in the latter half) ended up being done at separate times. This isn't a bad thing, and I've said before, I would much rather you do this than have it take way longer to get both people done. However, I do still encourage simultaneous editing when at all possible.
Anyways, good luck to you guys and I'm really damn excited for a lot of these matches.
(Also, for an extra little game, up until the results of the first match are posted, if you want to guess the 12 songs in this round, I might give some little prize to whoever guesses the most)
