Ok... My top super anime...
Some would [normally anyway] assume I'm shallow due to my tastes in amvs and such. I used to love comedy titled anime such as Love Hina [or things similar to it] like Tenchi. But comedy started to sink in my list. It became harder for me to grow attached to anything. I mean seriously, when Keitaro gets hit, he's airborne, but falling off a freakin' building puts him in the HOSPITAL?!
Now, the most invinicible anime: ONEGAI TEACHER!
I'm not going to debate, I heard it's by the director of Oh My Goddess [which happens to be my first anime which I lost my otaku virginity to... ^_^]
Why is it so good? It's got [like Mizuho
] the most perfectly built structure I've seen in a story to date. Some would say "predictable" but I'm not in that some. I did attempt to assume some stuff, but I ended up wrong so there. My vote, unpredictable.
The intro, seemed like fluff to me at first, and the fact that I heard so little of it made me think it was nothing much. [then I learned that even the "best" hyped anime can truely suck] It's got AWESOME character design. No anorexia here ladies and gentlemen. We're talking nice and curvy.
The main character [a Tenchi-type anime character at first] seems rather dull. In fact I thought I'd stop watching it, but by episode two, it hit me. He's not as dense as brick unlike some of these other morons I see in anime. [when someone like Ryoko offers to mount you, you LET HER OR DIE....] Forgot to mention, he's athletic and can run like the freakin' wind...
The heroine/love interest/etc. Is UBER SEXY. However, unlike some more fanservicey anime, this super babe is pretty damn real and good at what's needed. She's built. Not like a porn star, but nice and curvy. Her wardrobe is conservative about 90% of the time. [she can be flashy when needed] And... She looks cute when she's pissed... ^_^ [forgot to mention, like Oh My Goddess, she's voiced by Kikuko Inoue aka Belldandy] Yes, MIZUHO, YOU OWN ME! She's a school teacher, 'nuff said.
The story is swift, though at only 12 eps, with a nice 13th ep for fanservice maniacs [like me], there's no filler, everything is connected within reason, and what ever problems are thrown at the characters, there's a weird / normally unpredicatable way of solving them. Unlike Eva[when in doubt, send "them" out... ^_^]
And above all, A GOOD AND FULL FLEDGED HONEST TO GOODNESS NOT - TO - BE - CONTINUED IN SOME OTHER AFTERLIFE ENDING! An anime's ending WILL make / break the anime for me. Hence why Eva and Saikano are nothing to me but hype. [I liked it and thought there'd be good character development and a nice conclusion as to why things were to be, sadly, I was mistaken and wondered why I should give a fuck about those people... *shakes head with sadness]
However, I must say, some of the most stupidly fooked up anime can have some of the BEST H-Doujin [yum...]
There you have it, my too long to read reasons why I love Onegai Teacher! [that and why I collect its H-Doujin too... ^_^]
Runners up:
Ai Yori Aoshi, first and only anime EVAR to date that made me cry my eyes out simply at episode freakin' 3!!!!!! and it's 24+ eps long! [some other eps had me waterin' too]
Kanon, though the hentai aspect of the game was removed from the anime [good thing too, or I'm sure people would turn around and kick themselves in the arse for watching it] Kanon has the MOST FREAKIN' ADORABLE character design in the VERLD! I mean none, BAR NONE, NNOOOO other anime can look as adorable as Kanon's classic appearence. You want classic Big Eyes Small Mouth RPG style anime design? The bowling ball heads and coconut sized eyes of the Kanon characters make me go AAAWWWWWWWWWWW.....
