What do you think of Bleach - English Version.
I must say I'm pretty damn impressed. I really liked the quality of the first episode. I had a lot more joy in watching the english version of the first episode. Not just the english voice acting did I find more appealing, but watching it with a lot better visual quality is also something that made it more enjoyable. I hated having to deal with the visual quality of the fansub with all it's blocky artifacts and over filtering killing lots of details and it feels so great to see such a nicer to look at version of this show. I have a high def TV and a very nice quality computer monitor so I think my justification counts.
I found it to be very awesome! ^_^ I think I'll have a lot more joy from watching the dub version of this anime. I had no problem with any of the voice acting. Over all a great job! I'll probably be getting the DVD when it comes out. Depending on how the single DVDs are packaged I might just wait for the Box set.

I wholeheartedly argee with you x_rex30
I had a high expectation from the dub seeing as the voice actors went out of their way to pronounce every Japanese word and I wasn't disappointed. I was also impressed at the way Michelle and Johnny portrayed Ichigo and Rukia as well as the other voice actors.
The only thing I didn't like was the lil' Kon snippet for the next preview episode. But, then again, it was short so maybe Michael Lindsay will do a better job when Kon really comes

What I'm wondering is: Was the voice for Ichigo the same guy that did Vash?
If not, they're damn close; and I could've sworn that Faye's voice actress was Rukia's.
If either of these are true, then it means they spared little expense at finding awesome actors for these parts; and if not, they fit perfectly nonetheless.

Yep. Voice actor, musician, and former 3 time Power Ranger, Johnny Yong Bosch did the voices for Ichigo, Vash (Trigun), Renton (Eureka 7), Kiba (Wolf's Rain), and a few others.EmilLang1000 wrote:What I'm wondering is: Was the voice for Ichigo the same guy that did Vash?

Nope - Rukia was Michelle Ruff, whom you may know as Chii (Chobits), Alvis and Tatiana (Last Exile), Winia (Scrapped Princess), Kaori (Akira), or many of her other roles.EmilLang1000 wrote:and I could've sworn that Faye's voice actress was Rukia's.
Personally, I was dissapointed with her performance - Rukia sounded too much like an almost-indifferent teenager, her voice needed to be deeper.
Of course, compared to the travesty that was Kon's voice in the Next Episode preview, Rukia was a goddamned masterpiece.

Rukia's voice was Kanzaki from GTO and Ichigo's was Vash from Trigun? I was bout to cry watching the episode "sniff!" Michelle Ruff is my favorite English voice actor and......ummm.......WTF!?
I just checked Animenewsnetwork.com and it says some dude named Johnny Yong Bosch. I guess the site messed up cause the moment Ichigo opened his mouth I knew it was Vash/the asian black ranger.

Very little happens in the first episode and my sekrit gay boyfriend Ishida isn't in it either, so it's hard to tell. I invite anyone to PM me with links to people freaking out over it, though, because I love that sort of thing.
As a manga reader, my only real reaction was "Cone???!!" - since they hadn't spelled it with the long-O diacritical mark or "ou" in the US manga release, I'd always thought it was Kon with a short O, like "con."
Uh, whoops.
