PETITION promoting "The Anime Network" to cable pr

ADV Films is about to start up "The Anime Network." <a href="http://www.animeondvd.com/press/advfilms/adv063.php" target="_new"><b>See this article for info about it</b></a>. But we have to let cable providers know that we WANT it! Therefore, I have created <a href="http://www.petitiononline.com/advanime/petition.html" target="_new"><b>this online petition</b></a> to show cable providers how badly we want this network! After it gets thousands of signatures, we can call our cable providers and tell them to have a look at how enormous the interest level is.

The success of this petition, though, depends on you guys!! Post about it in your LiveJournals! Encourage other people to do the same! Tell friends on IM and ICQ, and ask them to tell THEIR friends. Please spread the word, so this petition can accomplish its intent and show cable providers how much demand there is!

Basic cable is a different package with every cable company. There's no one single standard "basic cable" package out there in a generic box with a barcode. Some of us gotta beg for our stuff. Time-Warner MidSouth still only shows the WB station from midnight to 5am, so I never get to see Angel. You'd think the WB would be with basic cable, but some cable companies gotta have a 24-hour GOLF channel and scrimp on networks that normal people want.

I still haven't begged my cable company for the i-channel (I have crappy Comcast Cable, gah)....I probably wouldn't be able to beg for it anyways, since my parents won't want to pay extra for one more cable channel. *Goes to sign petition*
