Naruto DVD's
I reciently went onto ebay and noticed a large number of Naruto DVD's available. They are all region free but some have chinese subtitles and english subtitles, while others like the ones this seller has

have only english subtitles. The number of episodes also differs from person to person. Some people that sell the first box set have twenty-three to twenty-five episodes while the person mentioned above has twenty episodes. Do these look like they are legitimate DVD's. I would have to get a cheaply made bootleg.

No, they are most certainly bootlegs. The only legitimate DVDs available as of now are the Region 2s. I've heard the US release will be coming in the fall.

If you are desperate, and understand Japanese then: Official R2 disk is available for 3900 yen. I've purchased disks this way, it's expensive, but legit and high quality.
However, since Cartoon Network is going to be doing Naruto (that sounds.. wierd doesn't it?), they are sure to take advantage of potential DVD sales too.
The Ebay stuff is virtually 100% bootleg. Don't bother with it since A) it's evil, and b) the subs are guaranteed to suck big time, to the point of ruining the story for you. [/url]

And in about 3 to 5 years we will be up to the point the story is at now.angelx03 wrote:Here's what's going to happen. The edited Naruto DVDs will be released in single volumes around the spring. The uncut DVDs will be released in form of boxsets with 13 episodes in each box next summer. I bet you can wait until then.

That is not necessarily true. I have gotten many anime DVD's off of ebay and have yet to recieve one that looks like it is a bootleg. Also I was primarily going to be getting to DVD's for my music videos since they are so inexpensive. Should I take the chance and see if i can get good footage, or not waste ten bucks?
