Ok, for the sake of discussion, I'll chime in.
HunterXHunter was recommended to me as something that someone that likes Naruto might also like. (I started a thread on that recently)
From what I've seen it's pretty similar in nature to Naruto in that you have the main characters going through various trials, and learning about abilities... the usual group angst in plenty. It's an older show, but a lot of the animation is surprisingly good despite the character design.
Interestingly it sounds like the same girl that does Naruto's voice!
On the whole, I'd reccomend the series, but I wouldn't reccomend people that start lame topics and instead of putting in something useful to start a conversation with get all childish when this is pointed out.
Next time try this:
A) either ask a question about the show, that isn't easily answered
B) make an observation about the show, that goes beyond simplistic.
C) don't get all pissy. If you want to stay and have fun, this is a great online community with lots of supports and sarcasm, if you want to leave don't expect a bon-voyage.

Mmmm, while I believe that someone who enjoys Naruto might be able to appreciate HxH, I don't think the two are all that similar. Naruto almost has a sanitized feeling to it, while HxH is far more gritty, in my opinion. Also, I feel that the Gon and crew have way more depth than any character that you'll find in Naruto.
Take Naruto and Gon, for instance. Both have similar outlooks on life: "Never give up." However, anytime Naruto gets in a pinch, he just babbles something about being Hokage or getting recognized, then whips out his demon-fox. Compare this to Gon's final Hunter exam against Hanzo, where he basically has no chance and no superpower to fall back on. Simply put, Naruto is a pansy and Gon, well, that kid is hardcore.

Essentially, Naruto is able to pull out some new ability or superpower whenever he's stuck, but Gon gets to use his fishing pole, or whatever that thing is. He's more the 'spiderman or wolverine' of the Anime world than the 'superman'.
