How simaler

I know that the dude who did he character designs for trigun did the character designs for hellsing so that figures why they look alike but how simaler are they.... (God I wish there was a smily with SHIFTY EYES!)

I'm sure what you're asking? Are you asking how the chars are similar? Or are you just saying that they are similar? I haven't watched Trigun or Hellsing yet, so I really can't answer your question entirely... but the main chars from both do look a lot alike.

I think the voices of those main chars are very different, right? I haven't seen the Animes yet, but I heard that Hellsing has Vampires with British accents. I don't know about Vash's voice. Ahhh.... what am I talking about? You wanted to know the similarities of them.

They seem to have some similarities. They're about the same height and build, both are rather impervious to shit, both seem to serve some noble purpose, and both like large caliber guns (.45 Long Colt for Vash, .454 Casull for Alucard). Both also have red trenchcoats, now that I think about it.

That type of char description has shown up alot lately.

Not just in Vash and Alucard, but Dante from Devil May Cry, Pegasus Maximus from Yu-Gi-Oh!, Xion from Bloody Roar 3.... I know there's alot more. They are have that Red trench coat deal, and they all act with that certain cool attitude that they'll beat down anyone. And that's cool!
