Angel Tales

Here's a somewhat lighthearted shounen harem with practically NO fanservice or blantant sexual innuendos in it. The story is basically about this guy named Goro Mitsume who's going to meet 12 girls in total. The thing about these girls is that they're reincarantions of animals of which Goro used to take of whom each faced certain death. So these girls (well not all at once) wants to meet and serve their "master" in return of the help and care Goro did to them before their deaths.

I only saw the first 4 episodes, and I found it fairly entertaining though the first episodes did introduce I think 8 girls which was kind of hard to keep track. Also add in to the fact that the series is only 12 episodes so I doubt there will be a good enough character development for each girl. When Bandai licensed it, they allowed VAs from New Generation Pictures (who also worked with Hellsing, Haibane Renmei, and Niea_7) to dub the series. Most of the female VAs did a pretty good job conveying the girls' personality without sounding like those generic-anime girl voices. My only gripe is the performance of Ted Sroka and Lauren Bendik who did Goro and Nana the dog respectively; they sounded pretty stiff and almost unbelievable.

So if you're looking for a shounen romance series without the pervertedness, check this series out.

Sorry this might be a stupid question...

...but could this be just a sort of OVA since it only has 12 episodes and so many characters?
