Is there any action anime where you can see a fluent fight??

I mean is there any anime where you can just sit and relax a good action scene without it being interupted by a lot of chit chat (like the dragonball series). Or is it something that belongs to the asian culture (no offence meant). I saw a lot of kung fu movies and it seems they talk a lot and brag about their skills and so on (well not in all the movies i must admit).

martial arts, gunfights or just a common battle?

When it comes to shootouts and martial arts, noir has some decent sequences. The "jump-over-mook-grapping-his-necktie-and-jump-one-level-lower" trick in the first Ep. is one of those things that are just... wow.

Packing action in mechs is served in FullMetalPanic.... tons of fine destruction.

When it comes to pure martial arts, I... uh, Haven´t seen some good stuff. Battle Vixen seems good.

I have to be honest i haven't seen too many anime movies and serials, partly because i'm from romania. One day they aired this show, rurouni kenshin (although it was called samurai X) and from that day on i was absorded by anime. I own, although i haven't got the time to see them all, some anime series like E's Otherwise, Scryed, Gundam SEED, Hellsing, Berserk (the last three should arrive shortly) and some movies, but i hope the collection will increase in time. Too bad i have a heap of crap as a pc but at least i can see amv on it, and basically that's where i get the ideas about animes. I have downloaded a lot of amv's. Unfortunatelly tommorow i have the license exam and i was busy until now but hey, the summer is long and i hope i can get up to date with anime moniesv and such.
By the way, what does OVA stands for????

Airmaster is reasonably good on that respect. The talking isn't too long, and once the fights get going, they're awesome. What talking there is is often funny, or at least slightly less brainless than usual, in my opnion. Still, I did sometimes say, "Come on, get to the fighting," but that's just because I'm impatient and the fighting was good. It's available as a fansub, but you'll have to find it yourself if you decide you want to see it (because of the forum rules).

What I mean by good fighting is that it's pretty clever, and doesn't seem to repeat itself that much.

It's a 27-epsiode TV series. The main char is a girl who's a really good fighter.

bebop has alot of fights with not much talking. they usaly get it out of the way in the begining. ninja scroll also has kick ass fights with little talking. and hellsing also gets right into the fighting.
