YFB001 Kandelon vs The_Digital_Phoenix
For anyone who hasn't been following the "It's time to duel" post lately, this is the first official Yu-Gi-Oh Forum Battle. The_Digital_Phoenix and I shall be having a rematch from the first (and only) un-official match.
Phoenix posted the following:
"I accept your challenge. The heart of the cards will see me to victory. (couldn't resist saying that)
I play The Irkan Invader in attack mode.
Attack: 1,500
Defense: 1000
I also play this magic card face down."
I respond:
I play "Ridcully, the Archchancellor" in defence mode.
Attack: 1300
Defense: 2000
And next turn when he begins talking, he can halve the 'atk' and 'def' of all opposing creatures for as long as he remains on the field.
Your move but be warned! This wizard has an explosive temper.

*Ridicully begins jammering on about how invaders used to be so much better in the old days and trying to convince you that if you want a real snack you should be trying <blank> and so forth. This brings your invader's atk to 750 and his def to 1500.*
"A defensive stale-mate. I'll have to lay these two cards face down and summon:
Scrappy the Magical Kangaroo
ATK/1850
DEF/1400
and attack your invader while he's too busy trying to extract him self from his one-sided conversation with the Archchancellor."
(note: I'm going to bed. I'll continue in the morning.)

You played right into the trap I set Kandelon! By attacking my Irkan Invader you activate the card I played face down. GIR's Inept Assistance card. This card copies my defense power and adds it to my attack power. Giving him a total of 2,250 attack and 0 defense. While I hoped to make my Invader stronger he is still powerful enough to defeat your Scrappy the Magical Kangaroo.
Irkan Invader! Counter-attack with Mega-Doomer!

"It seems I underestimated you again. No matter. The loss of Scrappy I can deal with, I have plenty of other ways to defeat you. But since that was my attack, it's now your turn.*
*Ridcully seems mildly perturbed by the death of Scrappy, and the knob on the end of his staff begins to glow.*
NOTE:
You're doing fine so far, but we never did decide how many life points to play with. The show says 2000 and the game says 8000.

"I see, well two on one is unfair so....Behold!
Lance-Constable Carrot
And I'll use this magic card to promote him to:
Corporal Carrot
Bringing his stats up to:
ATK/2200
DEF/2100
Your turn, for now."
*Ridcully begins to sweat bullets as his knob glows even brighter. Carrot takes a small step back, having some knowledge of discworld wizards.*

New Rule
A monster is only destroyed if the duelist who put hi in play says so.
Example:
You play MonsterX
I play MonsterY
Y attacks X and since Y is stronger Y wins. But If you had a trap card waiting for me that would null and void my attack then I have not won.
So a monster is only destroyed if the duelist who put him in play says so.
Make sense?
