Opps, I goofed - Who wants a R2 Tenchi DVD?

Post by Garylisk » Tue Apr 20, 2004 1:44 pm

So, I ordered one too many copies (2 copies heh) of "Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki OVA3 Volume 3"

It's still in the shrink wrap, comes with a bonus CD of Radio Tenchi stuff from GXP, and is first pressing. DVD is region 2, and there are no subtitles. I'm selling it for 40 bucks, and I'd rather sell it to someone I know instead of hawking it away on eBay.

Doesn't this belong in Heads Up?

Wow, first time I've seen a mark down and not a mark up on an imported Japanese disc. (it retails in Japan for about U.S. $43)

I'd like to get it, but I don't have the cash, and i don't like to get things out of order.

Though, I do have an R2 player (I bought a Japanese PS2 a little ways back), and a couple of R2 dvds.

Currently I'm saving my money to get the Sakigake! Cromartie KouKou series.

Yeah well, I know I am charging less, but I figure I might as well make the deal appealing.

If you rip the DVD to your hard drive, you can de-macrovision and region-free it, then just play it off your hard drive.

or if you have a DVD burner, you can rip it with demacrovision and region-free turned on, then burn the fixed up files to a blank DVD so it can be played on any region of player.

Pretty simple, you just need the tools.

Otherwise, you could go get a program called "DVD Region-Free" that lets you play any region DVD on your computer, but the trial version only lets you play 15 minutes, then closes your player... so that's not a totally good solution.
