Question on Memories, the dvd that is.
I've read some reviews that mention that the quality of the video on the DVD is actually rather bad o.O..is this true?

Above is Chris Beveridge's Anime on DVD review of the Columbia/TriStar release of Memories. Apparently he didn't have any issues w/ the video quality except for some purplish shades of black on Magnetic Rose -- an issue he had with the original R2 DVD release from Bandai/Emotion.
As for myself, I didn't see any video differences between the R1 and R2 releases (Memories was my first R2). My only complaint on the R1 release is audio, and is strictly personal: the R2 release has Dolby 5.1 Digital Surround and Dolby 2.0 stereo sound, while the R1 only has 5.1 (which I haven't upgraded to yet).

Another thing to keep in mind is that even if it's EVA, you still have to buy it. Know why? because it doesn't matter how crappy they make it, if you want to legaly own the anime, you take what the crap they give you and you thank them for it.
Remember kids, downloading anime is supporting communism.
