The Violinist of Hamlin(HELP)
I saw this on an AMV here and I want it REALLY badly for my b-day, I play the violin myself,
, but I have searched Amazon, E-Bay, Google, everything, and I cannot find ONE place where I can buy this movie, my b-day is in like 12 days, does anyone know where I can buy this!!! It's the movie, not the SNES game, and I'm assuming it's going to be uncut since I don't think it came out in America, but yes I do need the subtitles haha. Please help :O

Well, first, this is the wrong forum. It goes in General Anime.
Second, I think it's spelled "Violinist of Hamelin." You might want to try your searches again using the correct spelling.
And third, I couldn't tell if it was licensed so you might not be able to find it in the US.

CD Japan has the TV series:
http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/search.html?ty ... strict=ALL.
No subtitles, though, and it wouldn't be delivered in 11 days.

What exactly is bootlegging? Isn't that like fake? I've found multiple places that sell the series with reviews from the buyers, I don't think it's bootlegged. Most places say 25 episodes, but one says 26 so I'm hoping it has the movie episode(only 30 minutes) as well. One review said one of the episodes was really funny, which must mean it's the episode movie, because the series is serious and the movie is funny, so ya, who knows, lol :O

with Anime, bootlegs are non-legitimate dvd's usually made by bootleggers in China, often poorly translated in "Engrish" and Chinese. Now they are actually quite popular to buy especially for those who can't wait for the US releases, or for those who can't setting for the import prices. Most bootlegs however lack the quality that would be present in the official releases. Those buyer reviews are probably wise to pay attention too, to let you know if the illegal dvd set is worth the buy.
NOW BEFORE THIS THREAD GETS BLASTED BY FLAMES AND MODS!!
Bootlegs are illegal and will always be. a-m-v.org does not incourage the use or purchase of these dvd's or anything other forums of piracy.
If you wish to buy the bootleg you do it of you on concent (of course :\), and not of a decision influenced from the forum. My suggestion however is to wait till the U.S. release of the series, or if you have extra money, you can look to see if the series is avaliable for import at http://www.amotokyo.com.
You'd much better off with a legit copy over a bootleg.
