Berserk!

Grrr! just saw the last episode of Berserk. Would someone mind telling me what the hell it was all about?? I'm afraid I was too pissed to grasp the idea of it, not to mention the sudden change in the plot...

yeah unless you get the manga it's hard to grasp. ok :spoiler warning: first thing you gotta know is they cut out alot of stuff and important characters when turning it into an anime the biggest change that i know of is skull knight becuase he saves gats and caska from the stuff i saw some of the manga invovlving this the sit i got it from olny gave me like parts of it so i missed a few pages. anyway this skull knight who also saved rickert i assume (again i didn't see just heard) and after he rides through the eclipse on his horse he grabs caska and gats and runs out where zodd is waiting for them apperently he had to beat him to get in and zodd sees gats, starts laughing and walks off. gats is brought back to guddo's place and is given that elf dust stuff to heal him, when he wakes up he remembers what happened and goes to caskca who's standing under a waterfall with her clothes on. he goes up to her and talks to her but she gets really scared and runs to erika who then explains to gatts that she hasn't been talking since she woke up, not to men at least, only girls. gats gets really upset and runs away as he runs through the forest he falls down and trees tear at him, the only bandage still on him is the one covering his stump. suddenly lots of voices call to him like in the first episode, and spirits arise, he looks around and one is cut up by skull knight who throws gats his sword. after gats kills all the spirits skull knight gives him a ride back and explains that now he's basicaly in the relm of the dead while still being alive and his warm flesh and beating heart draw those spirits to him, not to mention the brand. anyway when he gets back caska is in pain she falls to her knees and a fetus drops from inside her. gats realizes it's grifiths and grabs it from her and tries to crush it but despite her mind being gone her maternal instinstinc makes her stop him, as the sun rises the creature disapears and caska goes nuts. now i can't remember much about what happens next and plus they didn't have the next manga. but what i know after that is gats decides to track down the behelits and grifith to make him pay. he dons some black armor and cloak and rickert gives him the mechanical arm to put on the stump. he goes to try it on a rock but goddo shows up right in front of him, rickert is really scared but nothing happens. goddo gives him a sword like his first one but it's suposed to be his best yet. when some wierd creature shows up gats fights him, until his sword breaks off inside the creature and he is weaponless, he uses the hand cannon on him but despite a huge hole in his chest/shoulder and almost being cut inhalf the creature keeps comeing. then gatts notices the dragonslayer the large black sword you see him using in the first episode. he swings it and damn near cuts all the way through him. the second swing does cut it in half and as he stands over the corpse the girl erika says "gats looks really scary now." and gats decides to leave right then so no more show up to hurt them, again he is stopped by the idea of bringing caska, this time presented by rickert. gats asks him to take good care until of her until he comes back for her. he walks off and thats as much of the manga as i've seen. if you really want to get into the world of berserk the manga is the only way, the anime is more confusing and a lot less gory. plus they shortened it by alot to fit 25 episodes
