ranma 1/2 another season?

hey all. i just finished watching the last ep. of season seven for ranma. and i was a little dissapointed in how it ended. i was just wondering if this is all that they are making on dvd or is there another season. i know that the manga goes farther but i'm to lazy to read unless it's subtitleds. but thanks anyway for hearing my rant.

Ranma Forever is the last season of the tv series. After that they only released an OAV series (11 or so eps) and two movies. If you want a better ending, I suggest that you read the manga. It goes much further beyond the anime. The ending is open ended but atleast its an ending.

yawp yawp. the mangas are definitely better than the actual series. (love hina for example if youve heard of it.) but mangas are very expensive... anyways ive never seen the ending to ranma. what happens?

The endings for both seemed to be lacking to me. But the manga is the lesser of two evils...it at least gets wrapped up to some degree...though nothing ever really gets set in stone in Ranma

I am hoping now that Ranma is over, they might persuade the japanese to make more OVA's. Unfortunately since Viz has Inu Yasha, they aren't really hurting for a hit seller anymore so that may never happen. I could make some suggestions for which manga stories to use this time ^_^ They should re-do the sakura tea leaves as an OVA because they messed it up in the episode they adapted for it.

SPOILERS FOR THE ENDING OF RANMA 1/2 ANIME AND MANGA!!!!!!!
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!

Anime - In the last episodes of the tv series, Ranma finally gets to meet his mother. Unfortunatly due to a promise made between his parents, Ranma isn't allowed to see his mother due to the fact that she might kill him for not being a "man". The end basically covers Ranma trying to meet up with his mom only to be held off my some of the most random things.

Manga - The manga ends with the Phoenix saga. WARNING THIS IS GOING TO GIVE AWAY THE ENDING!!!!!!!!!! Ranma gets into a fight with a gang of fighters who come from a mountain in which the hot springs of Jusenkio is based. They basically have the abilities of birds. Anyways the ending, after a long hard fight with the leader, Ranma finds a "dead" Akane. In tears he confesses his true feelings to her in hopes of her coming back to life. Something like "AKANE, I love you! Dont die!". Anyways he says this and Akane wakes up. Of course he is over joyed, but soon realizes that she heard everything. Believe it or not they actually decide to get married. The end is basically the two of them at the alter about to get married but they are stopped by all of their friends who want to get together with them. The two basically wait to decide til later in order to marry so that they can work things out with everyone.

Anyways thats how they both end. The anime basically ends at the halfway point of the manga. Also I didn't want to give away too much of the endings so I left alot of stuff out, but those are the general versions of the endings.

wow...the anime ending is so...so...wow dats a sucky ending. well then again ive always wanted akane and ranma to get together, and dats wat happens in the manga. so ill jush read the ending of the manga (doh dat really doesnt make sense since i wont have a clue bout anything else.) but yea, thanks a bunch.
