Just finished watching KareKano...WTF?
###WARNING CONTAINS SPOILERS IF YOU HAVENT SEEN kAREKANO###
OK up until about ep20 KareKano anime was one of the best I have seen. Then its like they ran out of material and just threw in silly comedy anime scenes. Ok I can accept that. Different but not all that bad.
Then its like all those writers were fired, they brought in the manga staff to do video scenes of the manga for the anime.
Then it seems like Hideki Anno walked in and said hey your out of material? we can rewrite the introspective psychobabble part of ep26 of EVA and use it in your anime since your rushed for time.
And it seems like the series was just left in midair without a ending. We never saw the results of the play, we never find out what becomes of Yukina and Arika's relationship, we dont find out what became of Tonami and Tsubaki's love/hate attraction.
What the hell did I just watch? Didnt even seem like I was watching the same anime.
Far as I can tell...
Arika seems to be full of self doubt and is cracking under the pressure of trying to be as perfect as Yukina.
Yukina seems to have come to terms with herself and is ready to move on with her life but wants Arika to be a part of it if possible but realizes that it may not be possible for them to stay together. Yukina wonders if it was nothing more than fate that her and Arika were to meet and be together for a short time in their lifes to help each other grow and mature as people. Yukina's sisters even ask her if shes OK with that and she says yes. Is she falling out of love with Arika?
Yukina and Arika are still together though Arika it seems is about to go insane and slip to dark side. Or is Yukina the thing holding him together?
Tonami's planned revenge on Tsubaki is on hold since he and her are falling for each other. They have kissed and they are attracted to each other though neither is willing to admit they like each other.
The end of the show says more to come...is their more to come? I see no new shows or OVA's since 1998 when it was released.
Please share your thought on this so I can sleep tonight without a headache.

isn't the show continued in the manga? But i agree, I thought kare kano was amazing, it was a great school drama/romance. But i totaly lost interest in it ... not because of how they tossed in BS, but because i ended up watching about 3 shows at once ... i was watching Love hina and Hellsing at the same time with Kare kano ... so my attention drifted to those and i ended up forcing myselfto finish watching Kare kano ... i still think it's good and one day will watch it again.

Here's the deal. The anime ended while the manga was still going. Rather than invent a whole new ending for it, they just kinda left it without one. So it basically stops in the middle.
The manga is currently STILL RUNNING, so there is lots more if you were unsatisfied with the ending of the anime.
I think they're up to like volume 15 of the manga right now.
