GetBackers!
What do you guys think of this anime, I just got on to the second season after Mugenjou and it seems pretty good.
I'm bored and you're dumb. A match made in heaven.

Season's over :: Episode 49 was the last :: So how was it?
Eh...it would have been much more impressive if they had cut it short instead of trying to stretch out the same repetitive formula over another 23 episodes. They do try some intersting stories which are funny, but they always introduce some new super human character, do a lot of posing and strutting about, Ginji's superdeformation died a long time ago, and there is actually more dialogue than action (saving the animators from doing anything complex or time consuming).
Any more background stories of relationships developing between any of the characters like Mido and Himiko have evaporated and there is absolutely no background story for Akabane (Dr. Jackel) whom everyone loves 'cause he's psychotically cool. There are strong undertones of homoeroticism especially with String Boy, er um... Kazuki.
The show has a style similar to Cowboy Bebop but also borrows alot from Trigun with the super deformation action. The soundtrack is very cool as well. It's simply a shame they never bothered with a more coherent story and focus with characters more - it literally fell apart at the end. The last episode was just flat, even if it did end the current story arc.

are at the gates to babylon city and then, nothing.........
Kinda leaves things open for a 3rd season, of which i would still very much like to watch but the fact is if it is anything like the 2nd season then I probably won't enjoy it a whole lot.

well to keep from spoiling it I'll just say that you NEVER see Ginji go "as" Raitei as he did in the first season, but you do get to see Ban and Akabane Kurodo(aka "Dr. Jackal") fight to the end.)v(ajin Koji wrote:so you're saying that Raitei never returns?!?!?
