Kingdom Hearts Anime?

8-26-03---- Kingdom Hearts Anime?
According to Disney Consumer Products president Andy Mooney, the sequel to Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2, will debut at the Tokyo Game Show. Square Enix have not commented on the reports.
It was also announced that Disney plans to create an animated spin off of Kingdom Hearts. A region for the show has not been revealed but due to the popularity of the game the show will probably be aired worldwide.

Is that mean Disney is going to work with a Japanese animation company? This will look cool if they work with Gonzo or even Madhouse!

Kingdom Hearts was awesome! I hope they keep the same looks for the characters; I'd hate for someone to take their artistic license and butcher what was already great to begin with.

I hope Gainax gets it... GAINAX!!!

Odds are though that Studio Gibli will get it 'cuz Disney does own it.

But didn't Squaresoft own it in conjunction with Disney? This will look a lot cooler if Gonzo gets it since they did a pretty good job with Final Fantasy Unlimited (though ENDING SUCKED!

That's unlikely, seeing as they claim that it is a spinoff rather than an animated version of the events of the game.

Okay Shadow, you're obviously seriously misunderstanding something. Disney does NOT own Ghibli. They do, however, currently own the rights to distribute Ghibli films here in the states. Where'dyou get that idea anyway?

They seem to have that idea, too.
