WTH? Food something anime?

Was flipping channels and an anime title called Fighting Foodons was on.

Im not sure waht it was accept it has to do with cooking and some duels with cards like Yu-Gi-Oh but the cards appeared to be recepies that became 3d humanoid creatures that dueled it out. All the cretures were named after food but the constant stream of food related puns was a bit too much.

It seemed kinda weird and defiantely different. I wasnt all that interested then they showed the cat girl Claudia and my interest was piqued.

It seems to be along the same level as Medabots or Beyblades.

Anyone know about this title? it was on Fox kids at 7am central time.

I watched a few episodes of this a while ago. The main char is a kid named Jace whos dad was the famous Chef Jack, a famous leader of the rebellion and the only one ever to out cook the emporor of the Glutton Empire. It seems everyone want's to defeat the gluttons because they only let you eat there food (that is sometimes mind-controlling).

The series mainly follows Jace around on his trip to learn to be a better foodon chef. Along with his little sister, Cosmo an old master chef who goes around on a UFO thingy, and a kid in a panda outfit whos name I forgot.And Claudia works for the 4 glutton generals, always trying to oust Jace anyway she can to find favor.

And to create those foodon cards it takes certain recipies to create certain foodon monsters, like Jace's Fried-Ricer

, and blank foodon cards.

The way it plays out its a lot more like pokemon than Yu-Gi-Oh though.(And it makes you hungry after each episode

)
