What do you think is the most violent/intense anime battle

I'd have to say the battle between Asuka and the Eva series in The End of Evangelion, that was pretty intense.

I'm going with Samurai X: Rurouni Kenshin. Basically, all the fights that Kenshin had. All the blood, gore, and slice and dice all thrown into a neat package.

I don't think this would be intense or violent, but certainly gruesome. The fight between Kamui and Fuuma in 'X/1999'. "Heads will roll."

Now, to finally answer the question (ahem :D ). I'd have to say Spike vs. Vicious on Cowboy Bebop. Nice, violent, and intense!

(...and don't count out Aoshi and Kenshin...I have way too many to tell...)

Berserk ep 24 and 25? Or when Gatts killed the 100 men in one night.

Most of the battles in the Kenshin OVAs aren't as violent or bloody, with the exception of the 2 opening scene.

but the asuka and eva series scene is definitely up there, actually alot of the eva scenes especially with shinji's eva going berserk.

Well, with Samurai X: Trust & Betrayal, it's a little bit bloody. But, I haven't seen the last EPS of NGE, so I don't know what you've seen. Sounds interesting though. I better get to it right away...

Actually, that fight takes place in the NGE movie. The last couple of eps of Eva are... a little action-light

If you wants violent, definitely go for Berserk. That fight against 100 men was insane :P

If you want intense, I would say the figth between the former partners in Maze TV volume 2... I am trying to remember their names... The one from the main case I believe is Salude (sp?), and then there is the girl who used to be her friend.. but then one day her friend killed their master...

In any case, the fight those two have with the darts and the crossbow... man, that fight was INTENSE!
If you haven't seen it.. GO SEE IT NOW! :P
