Ok, i finaly saw the first movie, and teh dub was god awful, but i don't care about that. My question is about D after he "died". His hand reattached it's self and then to wake D up it started eating hand fulls of dirt ... why? Why would Dit have reserected/woken up D?

When I first saw VHD that scene was strange as heck... the whole dirt-eating thing is probably explained in the book BUT since few of us have access to that:
The hand is a parasite, so it can't survive on its own, this is a real good reason for wanting to resurrect D and, perhaps, why the hand snacked on dirt prior to reattachment - it needed food (who knows why dirt is ok)
Given how magically-messed up the Earth is, why couldn't there be some kind of residual magic or something in the dirt?
My best theory - In VHD: Bloodlust, D suffers sunstroke and has to bury himself (IN DIRT) to recover - we don't know why the whole dirt thing is important, we just know it is. I would, though, suspect the reason is directly related to why the hand eats dirt in VHD to revive D. On that note, we have yet to see how D survives - he doesn't drink blood and he doesn't seem to eat or drink - in fact, the only form of vitality we've witnessed is from the earth itself. Ta da!
I know, I'm lame, but you asked!!

hmmm ... now that i think of it i remember bram stokers dracula ... and it said that every morning a vampire had to return to rest in the soil of his native land ... which is why Dracula brought so many crates of dirt to america ... but residual magic sounds pretty good too ...
or the dirt could have given D indigestion and he woke up all pissed off and grumpy and decided to take out his PMSy spaz on the mist monster.
