Am I the only one who thinks it's a cross between Evangelion and Gigantor?

I dont know, it tries to be something grand but I think it falls short. It tries to go in a direction that would make it look more intellegent but just comes out looking stupid. My friend likes this anime but I find it as just an average anime.

The people talk TOO much, and the mechas looks TERRIBLE. Even the ones from Gasaraki look better. I don't give a damn what's going on since Bubblegum Crisis 2040 was showing at the same time in Action Channel a while ago.
