Chibits episode review

Chibits, the first ep, is majorly messed up. The voice actor for Chi changed. The series is about the 2 laptops, and the show is only 5 minutes long. Hideaki forgets something when he goes to shool, so Chi goes to take it to him. Only, she's wearing just a shirt. So Sumomo makes her change into a high school uniform. (Hideaki is in college) and sends her out. Then both laptops freak because there are a pair of panties on the floor. They thought she forgot to wear underwear under her skirt. So it ends up with Sumomo shoving a bottle rocket under the other laptop's dress, shooting themselves out the window, and then using the panties as a parachute when the light at the end of the rocket extinguishes. They catch up to Chi - only to find that she is wearing panties. Which Sumomo knew all along! Sumomo dragged them out there just so she could tie Chi's hair in two braids with little pink ribbons that were on the floor NEXT to the panties. The panties, she explained, were just a parachute.

This series looks cute, and it is really funny, but I still think it's just weird. I have no idea how many eps are in the series. If anyone has any more info on this, care to clue us all in please?

By the way, sorry to spoil the end, but there isn't much show to review anyway.

Sounds to me like Chibits is just another goofy extra thingy that the people decided to make for fun...like the Fushigi Yugi bus and Record of Lodoss Island "The second part"... heh heh POW POW PARN!!!

If Chibits was centered on Chii then I would be more upset about the voice change. But since it is more about the two laptop Persocons I am not too worried. Besides more of Sumomo is a good thing.

I think the look on the faces of the two persocons when Chii's dress blew up was almost scarey!

The episodes are short but fun and remind me of the "Adventires of the Mini-Goddesses".

Yeah. The animation was fun. I just wish I knew how many there were going to be.

According to the end credits, the VA for Chii is the same in Chobits and Chibits. I think they did some effects for one of the series to alter pitch, but the actual VA is still the same.

hehe . it was just a follow-up spoof ^^ as if to say, "yeah - were still around."

actually, this little episode would have been better - released durring the series run! ( seems out of place today! )

What you talking about Its gold! The file I got says its episode 0 so its probably just a promo of it. They might be longer, or maybe alot of short ones like adv. of mini goddess. They even cut faces out like mini goddess. Anyways I can't wait they make a great pair :D

Not sure whether they're gonna make a whole new season out of it. This was on a bonus dvd you can buy when you buy all the chobits r2 dvds. Well, AMG the movie had an ep of Mini Goddesses tacked onto it, but they also said that they were doing that new series as well.
