the best anime involing street racing i have ever seen. even though it's in japanesse it's still gets in to the story and race the sceens with the music is tight. i also played the arcade game the one where you can buy a key card to save your car and make it better. thats what made me see the anime series. 8)

What else to say? I enjoyed it thoroughly enough to use it in an AMV. I enjoyed it thoroughly enough to get me hooked on Tokyo Extreme Racer 2 for Dreamcast, which sucked away my life by weekends at a time!

How much more thoroughly could I have enjoyed that? Strangely though, I don't think it's anywhere near my top 5 anime...

its being released by Bandai i think hopefully soon cause i want to see it. it has some awesome music.

TOKYOPOP actually is the one for the license to both the anime and the manga.

And TP are ripping the manga apart 8) Changes of names, plot jiggling etc.

By the way, I have an unfounded and deep hatred of Initial D.

Nah, people's hatred of Initial D is easily explainable. It's one of those love-it-or-hate it things - if the idea of a bunch of kids racing moderately crappy cars around mostly the same places doesn't excite your passions - yea, it probably never will.

I liked it. Can't blame me...

i just tryed the intial d ver.2 for the arcade and it better then the first mor levels new charcters and your old card from the first one is change to another mines was blue 'll try to scan it later

Initial D Arcade Game (both version 1 and 2) are like Crack Cocaine. I have spent A LOT playing them

Oh and yes, I like Initial D the anime. And although I respect you Savia...I don't know why I like it. I mean all the bad things people say...I agree...and yet I liked it...a lot. It was like SF with...cars.
