yeah, i just bought the first DVD of this series, so far im really liking liking it, even though im only 3 episodes into it. I've heard different opinions about the ending, so you know id like to know what everyone thought about the series. no spoilers please.

I haven't seen the ending myself but I have seen the first 15 episodes or so and I'm loving it.

If you don't get too caught up comparing it to eva (similar mecha etc..) then you should like it. The only people I know who didn't like it, did that.

Personally I was facinated by the idea of tokyo jupiter and I'm dying to find out why and understand it all.

yeah, i have seen some similarities, but im not comparing it to EVA. and i also like the idea of like tokyo Jupiter thing, evern though i barely got into it

of course! thas just what i get..... i swear..... i decide to go out and actually BUY some anime....and all of the DVDs arent even out yet...damned ADV, i swear..... so yeah the first DVDs are out, but the next two are on preorder, and there are like 26 episodes. so probably 2 more after that. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought the series was pretty good... It's one of my favorites, and I thought that similarites between RahXephon and Eva were pretty cool. The way they incorporated music (everywhere) was quite something... The ending's kindof open to suggestion (like Eva), but all-in-all it's a good series. My rating: 9/10

I'm not trying to offend or get flamed, but I personally hated EVA, very, very much. After watching Rahxephon in its entirety, I thought to myself "this is what EVA should have been". Stick with the series, it's really great. One of my favorites.

Again, just my personal opinion. I haven't seen any EVA jihad soldiers on this board yet, but just in case, I want to make clear my opinon of EVA is JUST MY OPINION

You wouldn't believe how mad some people get just for saying that, it's like wearing a SEGA t-shirt around a nintendo fan.

I like Rahxephon quite a bit. I especially like the ways in which the series uses backgrounds, settings, and character arrangements (blocking?) to create moods and mirror the thoughts and feelings of the characters.

I can't comment on the story, though. I've only seen the unsubbed Japanese version and don't speak a word of Japanese

. I'm looking forward to watching the English version (runs off to pop volumes 1 and 2 into his dvd player

I have only seen the first 2 eps(thanks to newtype mag.) and it looks like a great series. I love the art and the mood of it.(its a sad depressing series from what i saw and it still had meca action.)
So yeah, if money ever comes my way I might get the first DVD.
