On Toonami today on Ruroni Kenchin a lady was reffering to Kenchin as Sir Ken. I thought he was a Ronin. Would he still be addressed as sir?
Was watching Ruroni Kenchin and I have a question

Was the lady by chance Megumi? She calls him Ken-San which would really be "Mr. Ken," but maybe they screwed it up and said "sir Ken" instead since that is also polite. BTW I don't think they meant Sir Ken as in...a knight or whatever. I think it was more of a sir Ken (i.e. lower case making it not a title).Anlushac11 wrote:8)

BTW stop watching Toonami's version of Kenshin it sucks balls and has like 15% of the story content cut...no joke.

I know its just a dub but it struck me as odd that she sounded like she was caling him Sir Ken. I was wondering if someone who was writing script for the dub assumed Samurai in the sae role as Western cultiure knights.Zarxrax wrote:Its just a dub for god's sake :\
But I see the point in that it may have been a informal reference, I was just curious as to what I thought was an implied title. Its not like I was looking for historical accuracy, I just thought the was she addressed him was odd at first.
I normally dont get to watch Ruroni Kenshin in the days as I dont get home til later. But from what I have seen I do very much like it.
