ive watched hellsing, rewatched it, rewatched it again,
read everything on the site, read everything on the other site,
and still i have no fucking clue as to the origins of this fucked up incognito guy, or why is he supposedly so 'real'

in the show, we are given these clues:

1. that scene with the wrecked car in some desert in the USA, where you see some scrawny fingered hand sticking out of the window, most likely incognito's

2. he says that much like alucard he also obeys a master.

3.he has some kind of weird magical powers which it seems only he is able to summon, "the dark continents magic", as he refers to it.

4.he has the ability to consume\ create matereal objects and living beings alike from within his flesh.

5.he is also able to summon (probably)ancient egyptian devils from hell

6.his main weak point is apparently silver, like most undead (in hellsing), though he is much more resistant to it than even alucard himslef, and can very quickly regenerate, with no regard to how badly his physical form is damaged.

7.according to him, he was created with the soul objective to destroy everything.

Like Alucard, Incognito also serves a master (which is most likely Major Krieg) although it is never confirmed who he or she is.

major kreg is the leader of the nzi millenium group from the hellsing manga

Aside from his dark abilities he also has a man-made weapon. This freakish vampire carries a machinegun known as an "Armscorps 40mm MGM" and a numerous amount of "FREAK" chips as well. Incognito makes his appearance in the final four episodes of the Hellsing anime and proves to be a worthy opponent towards Alucard. He is later defeated by a silver spear molded from Alucard's partially destroyed handgun, the Jackal.

The Crypt of Hellsing had this profound information to offer about incognito:

He looks like a grey and have purple markings over his body as well as having a gun which is attached to his arm

Well, Hellsing as we know it here was only supposed to be season 1, as I understand it. Apparently, there is much more information in the original manga (isn't there always? :

:). There was supposed to be a season 2, but it was scrapped as I understand it. Something about Hellsing not being very popular in Japan, and a second season being unprofitable.

Plus, season 1 ends with a LOT not covered, and that probably pissed a lot of people off. It really doesn't have much of an ending when it comes right down to it (the big reason I am not fond of the series).

hmm. they actually dont have more information in the manga, because incognito was somehting they made up solely for the anime series,

according to searchdestroy.com, as an alternative to the nazi millennium group plot in the manga, which supposedly would have been too intense a subject for hellsing's target audience..

I dont really know to much about Icognito hence his name I guess.

My guess:

1. He is an original like Alucard
2. He originates from Africa
3. He does obey a master but like Alucard always has his own agenda ie the killing of the little girl vampire.
4. I dont know what his connection with the accident in the US was but Im sure he wasn't the victim under the car. (I still dont know what importance this scene has in the series.)

The manga has a hell of alot more info in it so if I look around I should be able to find something.

Yeah, I took it all to mean that Incognito was one of the original undead, just like Alucard, though obviously not a vampire. It's clear that he's something else entirely, I just don't know what.

i dunno.. i mean, sure Africa is full of blacks..

i dont remember which episode it was, but i remember someone saying that the FREAK chips are being distributed from "the continent".. Europe being my first guess, from Englands geographic position..
but then a friend of mine commented on how it could be N. America judging from bretish history.
and then theres that car accident thing, which by the way im sure was directly connected to incognito as it was shown (i think) in the ending\beginning of the dream episode that prophesised his coming

My idea the he comes from Africa is when he was powering up and calling forth his men., he uses comes chantig very similar to voodoo. Voodoo is very oftenly called dark and since voodoo is practicedd in Africa one could assume some could call it the Dark Continent. Also I very much doubt they would call North America the Dark Continent, were not that cool, and they wouldn't call Europe the Dark continent since they story takes place in Europe. Thats my logic any ways.
