Has anyone read the manga? Its cool. I thought the name was kinda funA. But the overall manga is really good. Very familiar story though...

I watched the first 5 episodes of the Anime and wanted to kill myself afterward...spotted the manga in my local bookstore but was too frightened to read it.

I haven't seen the anime yet, but the manga's good. The art is...um...odd? Kinda like kid manga from Coro Coro. But it is good...

shadow, just to let you know, the name of the anime is Groove Adventure Rave. not Rave Master. You might already know this, but another friend of mine had gotten the manga and was looking for the Rave Master anime and couldnt find it till I told him it was a different title.......... Sooooooooo yeah.....

really? Oh 'cuz Tokyo Pop published it as Rave Master... ohwell...

I didn't like Groove Adventure RAVE at first because the fighting sequences weren't that great compared to others shown at the time and the plot seemed thin and pokemon-ish. (Replace Haru with Satoshi, Garage Island with Pallet Town, Plue with Pikachu and you've pretty much got the opening premise for Pokemon

). Fortunately, it kept getting better and better and by the end of the anime at episode 51, I actually appreciated it although it's still not going to be on my top 10 list. Unfortunately... *SPOILER WARNING*

...the anime ends at episode 51 after they fight the Oracion Seis and meet Lucian Leagrove for the first time and there's no word on whether or not the continuation is going to be animated. Booo, I want to see Ruby casting magic -poyo!

It's not Groove Adventure RAVE, it's RAVE: The Groove Adventures. Tokyopop renamed it, they said that "The Groove Adventures" sounded bad, and couldn't use "RAVE" as it is trademarked or copyrighted or something so chose "RAVE Master" after talking with the author.

I doubt the anime will finish though, especially as it said in the ep 51 preview it was the last episode on tv. Maybe there'll be an OVA but I don't know...

Sorry, force of habit. I don't pay much attention to Tokyopop licenses so I didn't know. Yeah, there's a company called RAVE in Japan I think that's completely unrelated to the manga/anime. Anyways, the numerous video games that were based on it are pretty funny.

yes chances are that he is downloading the anime ... but he didn't say anything that would imply that he was actualy downloading teh anime. SO will you stop it, your becoming like CaT on the off topic forums. Spouting rule #6 like he has turrets(sp?) syndrome.
