Steel Angel Kumie, is it worth buying?

I've had bad luck buying anime's before viewing the fansubs. I still haven't found any fansubs for this one yet and it has been released.
Wondering, is it really good?
I like things like

Trigun
Kenshin
Love Hina
Chobits
The the Ultimate Weapon
Vampire Princess Miyu
Initial D
Full Metal Panic
Eva
Naruto
GTO

wait, maybe it might be easier to say dislikes
Boogiepop Phantom Didn't thrill me
Gasaki annoyed me,
Digi Characters just doesnt seem interesting,
Samuria Bout Highschool is kinda lame.

yer, so.. anyone know if this one is actually good?

I never saw it, but I worked on the fansub for the 2nd kurumi series, and I can say it was subpar at best. I hear the first series is better though.

Steel Kurumie is good in the fact that it has a complete ending. The chicks are hot. There is only one or two disturbing crossdressing scenes. I like it. Also watch the Dub the dub is better than the sub in this case. There is a character named kirinka in this show who is susposed to be a stuck up snotty bitch. The dub voice actress has her down pat.

hrm, how many dvds to the american releases?
i Australian releases seem to keep to the same format.
They just released the first 2 dvds.

There are 4 DVD's total in the first series released in the US.
5 if you include Encore which was just released a few weeks ago.
I have the series and really like it alot!!!

There is a "Zero" series that's basically an OVA with I think 3 episodes.
The "Second" is the second series and has more of a Yuri complex than the first.

From my stand point... Ai Yori Aoshi, Trigun, Kenshin, Love Hina, Chobits, Vampire Princess Miyu, Initial D, Full Metal Panic, Eva, and GTO are good series to collect. That's just my opinion as I may have different taste in anime than you do. I download, watch, like(dislike), and buy(delete) most of the anime I have.

Yah, I would suggest any body to buy or at the least rent the dvds or tapes. I has hot chicks, its funny good story plot and has some of the best animation I have seen. There is a bit or soft hentai if you like that stuff. Its action packet I all around cool.
