FMA:B and Attack on Titan are my two votes.

Re: Anime of the Decade (2010-2019)
I haven't seen nearly enough anime from the 2010s for my opinion to matter, but I would also throw in the ring:
-The Tatami Galaxy
-Usagi Drop
-The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.
-Your Lie In April (am I really the first to mention this?)
-Oregairu

Cool ! These animes have in fact marked our childhood. Thank you for this little nostalgia.seasons wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2019 2:28 amYou're also free to make a case for Dragon Maid, Psycho-Pass, Aggretsuko, etc., other series like 1/10 as popular as Sword Art Online was and still is.
My Hero Academia feels too recent to consider for this, but maybe I'm wrong?
Mob Psycho 100?
There is still much I haven't watched, to say the least.

Re: Anime of the Decade (2010-2019)
I can second this, the show really is a breath of fresh air.
Other than that, shows like Angel Beats!, Haikyuu!! and Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso are some prominent candidates that haven't been mentioned. There are also shows that feel like a lot of people forgot about, like Sakura-sou no Pet na Kanojo or Hotarubi no Mori e.
Personally, I feel like it's not really fair for the hidden gems of the medium, since popularity and quality don't always go hand in hand. So I would like to show some love to shows such as:
Ping Pong the Animation
Sakurada Reset
Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu
Hoshiai no Sora (This one is still airing, but I definitely think it is high up there)
And one of my favourites, 3-gatsu no Lion, albeit it has garnered some popularity over these few years.

Kind of anticlimactic to not have any of the results here (or on the polygon.com list) be ranked. Maybe it's good for a change not to have this treated like it's a horse race... but that's what I was hoping for, I guess.

That Crunchyroll list is missing some pretty key titles imo, especially Your Lie In April -- maybe as an AMV editor I have a certain bias that this was much more popular and well-received than it actually was since I've seen so many AMVs that use it, but somehow I doubt that. I'm really surprised it wasn't on there. Also disappointed not to see Oregairu on there at all, but I probably shouldn't be surprised.

Also on the list from 2014 (the year Your Lie in April debuted, season 2 aired on 2015):CrackTheSky wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 12:32 pmThat Crunchyroll list is missing some pretty key titles imo, especially Your Lie In April -- maybe as an AMV editor I have a certain bias that this was much more popular and well-received than it actually was since I've seen so many AMVs that use it, but somehow I doubt that.
Barakamon
Fate Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works
Love, Chunibyou & Other Delusions
Parasyte -the maxim-
Sound! Euphonium
Ping Pong the Animation
SHIROBAKO
Space Dandy
I'v only seen 3 of these and they're certainly good enough to make the list, but I'm sure a good case could be made for tons of other series that didn't.

Re: Anime of the Decade (2010-2019)
Certainly, and no list is going to please everyone...just really surprised that a series as popular as YLIA didn't get a nod while something like, say, Non Non Biyori, which was a pretty dull series that wasn't nearly as popular, did.
