Gatekeepers 21: Who can identify Ayane Isuzu's mother

Well after watching this new (and better) OVA it really sparked my interest to check out the TV series, but only to understand the OVA better and how the characters relate to one another. That is the coolest thing about this version - going backwards and discovering Ayane's heritage and even Reiji Kageyama's background.

Ok, it's pretty obvious she is Shun Ukiya's daughter (I even got a trip seeing her aunt as a little girl, damn!) but just who is her mother? Since she goes by her mother's maiden name, it isn't one of the other Gatekeepers, or maybe a character that isn't revealed or that I haven't seen yet (I'm only up to eps 19).

However, there is ever indication that she may be Megumi Kurogane's daughter. Well for one thing Ayane looks so much like her, her personality and tone of voice is quite similar, and she wears "fake" glasses just like Kurogane. Although I really can't see how Ukiuya would ever connect with her.

Then again, it could just be Keiji Goto recycling his character designs and simply playing with us, but I don't recall a show where the children didn't share some kind of similar trait with their parents. At least physically.
