MB's Fushigi Yuugi re-release

Has anyone out there managed to score a copy of the first season of Media Blasters' re-release of Fushigi Yuugi... that ISN'T scratched to hell and back?

(After our second try, Amazon just refunded our money instead of doing another exchange... which isn't exactly what we had hoped for. I wonder if we would have been able to rip those disks with no errors.)

If so, how does it compare to the original, video-quality-wise? I hear that MB used new masters from Japan, not the same ones that went into the original Pioneer release. I'd love to see a comparison.
