Slayers Premium

Post by MistyCaldwell » Sat Feb 15, 2003 7:12 pm

Are there even any rumors to have this released domestically? I have looked for official stuff but haven't found anything.

I see the Bowling Green U club will show it March 1st but I'd looove to have a copy of my own. Slayers is one of my favorite series and I have been told there is some brief Lina-Gourry relationship progression but I don't wanna be spoiled so....

Are R2 imports and fansubs the only way to get this 'movie' any time soon?

Sorry misty it's worth seeing but it's not all that.

Ok it's set in the time period somewhere between slayers next and try. It's based on a comic strip running in one of the japanese magazines about lina fighting squids. it's about 40 minutes long. There is no plot development. There is a part where goury says I love you but it's totally ridicolous why he says it. The most annoying thing is that they keep trying to get every character in slayers to make an appearance. Including Naga. It's fun to watch but if you were expecting any kind of continuity it's not here. As for picking it up well adv is still sitting on it's rights to the slayers movies it hasn't released so I wouldn't expect it anytime soon.

Gourry says I love you eh? That sounds like a spoiler to me  Ah well, I still don't know why....btw...that's not an invitation.

Thanks for the info but I was already told it was only like 30 minutes long. Glad to hear it's longer...but all the characters in 30-40 minute time span? What I like most about Slayers was the story. It wasn't exactly the pinnacle of animation...and I was hoping for a lot more as this one is recent. I was glad to see Slayers wasn't -completely- deceased.

Me too I don't know how much you got into it but the slayers universe is vast and the way they just killed it pissed me off. I still say if they showed Slayers at 8 on saturday night on fox it would own the time slot.
