Berserk, German release?

I've got a friend from Germany who just visisted me recently, and he really liked Berserk (I showed him the entire War Cry disk, i.e. disk, the first five episodes) and I was wondering if anyone knows about them having released it in Germany?

He knows English really well (and has a universal DVD player, and a universal tape player for that matter), but it would be cool if he could find a german version, so any help is appreciated, even if its just a future release date.
