But, you are 100% correct- the Daedalus and the Prometheus were the two ships (one a carrier, the other a transport/assault ship) which by twist of fate became the 'arms' of the Macross fortress after being dragged the better part of the way across the solar system by the hasty fold. (It's been a while(1988-9) and I had forgotten the names of the two ships..)

This one is from Variable Geo.... (originally based on a hentai fighting game)

The special of the day is Variable Geo: a brutal battle between waitresses who serve up generous portions of energy blasts and vicious side orders of merderous martial artistry. For buffed beauties who make below-minimum wage, VG is the perfect way to score some fast cash. The victor walks away with millions, and the defeated loses everything (namely, all her clothes).

Enough with the intro... In the very first battle between Yuka and Jun they fight in the street intersection near a marketplace called Penny Lane... What was Jun's past profession?

I didn't think anyone would get it unless they've seen Variable Geo...

Hey, I saw Variable Geo . . . once or twice (the DVD's somewhere in one of my U-Haul boxes . . .). I'm really tempted to try again; I'd probably have to do research again around that particular scene again (not certain I want to necessarily DO that). If anyone else wants to give it a shot, fire away.

And, for the record, Jun's arguably one of my fave characters in VG. Mostly because of Ai Orikasa.
