those are all movies! coincidence?? echi things like mahoromatic, nurse nanako are all oavs. not coincidences. These ppl just watch series' that have (at most) one episode or so of gore (see av).

Mahoromatic is a TV show actually. Shown late at night, but still shown on TV.

In regards to the GameCube not being just for kids, I think that that is still the target audience that Nintendo is aiming for (as it has always been). Does that mean that older people shouldn't enjoy the games too? Of course not. Sure, the game might have really sophisticated gameplay, but in terms of marketing and subject matter, I think they're definitely still targetting younger ages than the console counterparts.

ahh yes, this all reminds me of the time my dad saw me watching dragon ball z and said "that stupid japanese animation is so choppy and crappy, plotless and cheap". well he was looking at dbz, so thats understandable. i then proceeded to show him berserk, cowboy bebop, and akira. he acknowledged that it was crappy and plotless and stuff....

It IS childish! You can't put a majority of games on there without dumming it down. RE is a good start but it's just walking munsters. Ooh wow it's like monsters inc only the idea is to scare! Scaring, while not something a 5-year old might like, is something an 8+ yr old might like, it is not adult.
GTA will never be on GC it's not even an option right now. DOAXBV or just DOA period???
They couldn't even give Mario a freekin Squirt gun!! RE may make strides towards it being aimed more towards the adolesant but Celda does just as much of the opposit. Metroid Prime is so unrealistic it's like -huff puff- get the bad guy!! ignore the rest!!. It doesn't teach mature lessons like Halo therefor it is kiddy. Nudity/ Blood/ Gore on it's own does not make it Adult just like all the kids that ask 'Why do they call it AS if they don't have <said>??'.

Are you trying to say that the games are primarily being called childish since children are able to understand them and play them? That's fine by me. All I can say is that Nintendo's choice in games for their systems have definitely not second guessed my choice in systems. Funny thogh that a game that is enjoyed by younger audiences is considered to be a more childish game, but a game that is enjoyed by older audiences is just a kiddy game played by some adults.
And I guess it doesn't really matter what the majority of their games are anyways, since I don't buy the majority. I only buy a few, at max a dozen. So the few good games they have, is fine by me.

Paizuri, I will be getting a gamecube and I will love it, just trying to clear up questions about the general view on it as well as I can. Personally I don't view the majority of games that I'm interested in (on the gamecube) to be childish, just the majority that is available.

Anime Jedi, this means that there is less of a selection (if you take the stance of 'I will not tolerate this level of kiddyness in my videogame') and therefore Gamecubes are not the preffered system for such gamers. Not saying that those games are bad or good.

No, I haven't, but because you mentioned it, I will. =) And SUB0, you BETTER CLOSE THE VIDEO GAME TOPIC! As far as I've heard on the forum: PS2 FBs suck, X BOX is the best, old school nintendo is the best, atari is cool, Sony won't sell GTA and everyone thinks everyone else sucks.
