No i agree with the ones who say bootlegs are bad. I wouldnt feel right buying a bootleg of an anime that was already licensed and released here in Australia. OK, so one of the girls I live with has a few bootlegs, but she got them waaaay back b4 she realised the difference. I just like the warm fuzzy feeling I get when I purchase an anime DVD legit. I mean, the exception there is the X TV series, I'm buying that grudgingly coz SIREN FUCKING SUCK and I want their production/distribution company to BOTTOM the FUCK OUT so they dont release any more crappily produced DVDs, I mean christ, the X TV dvds available here aren't even encrypted for christs sake!! I was ripping it and going... "No encryption... hmm... does this mean they WANT me to copy their wares?
"So bootlegs aren't bad in my book, and I'd buy some if I had to, like if it were of a series that wasnt going to be licensed anytime in my life, but otherwise, no. I'd rather not take the risk of getting badly authored crap. Shit, its already available legit in DVDs like our X TV ones and the original Eva dvds... *shudder* why would I pursue crap like that willingly?
